I’ve always been drawn to roles where I believed I could make a positive impact in my community. After years of serving on special districts and advisory boards, attending city and county meetings, and volunteering with nonprofits—I noticed one thing—the voice of the public was not truly being heard. When public involvement was present, it was often exploited to fit specific political agendas—propelling and amplifying the voice of a few misinformed, albeit, well-meaning, citizens—often to the detriment of disadvantaged communities.I set out to create a grassroots community outreach organization that strives to give equal footing to all residents when it comes to governmental decisions that impact their lives. In 2018, I founded Door 2 Door Strategies. Since then, we’ve partnered with a diverse host of community organizations, local political campaigns, land use planners, and nonprofits to help them create a productive dialogue with impacted residents.D2D Strategies consults with organizations on the best foot forward to engage residents and stakeholders affected by their project or campaign. Our preferred method of engagement is face-to-face conversation (safety permitting), which works best when partnered with a combination of digital outreach, phone banking, and even mailing – whatever it takes to inform the uninformed and engage the unengaged to provide a platform and a voice to every resident.

Coordinated and inspected numerous construction projects valued at up to $12M for the Florida Department of Transportation. Ensured safe, timely, and cost-efficient contractor handling of roadway and bridge construction projects. Conducted tests and ensured work complies with contract and Florida Standards and Specifications. Documented work. Oversaw excavations, retention pond remediation, bridge deck, sidewalk, and curb construction, asphalt paving, and signalization as sole site inspector or part of a team. Verified quality for resurfacing, guardrail and sidewalk placement, landscaping, water turbidity, retention pond slope and depth, and drainage.

Managed operations on Turnpike/Lake Worth Road Interchange Project (2009-2011), tracking, inspecting, testing and documenting paving operations for $17.5M project. Performed inspection and testing for operations involving bridge widening, MSE wall, drilled shaft, drainage, and signalization. Led Turnpike’s Electronic Logging Format Pilot Project for digital tracking of earthwork densities. Attained 4.0 ride rating on friction course on Turnpike at Lake Worth Road interchange through effective inspections and testing. Oversaw project on SR 79 in Bay County (2008-2009) for Florida Department of Transportation. Inspected operations on $9M project, including milling, pile driving, paving, bridge widening, sign installation, and signalization. Ensured contractor compliance with Florida Standards, Specifications and contract plans. Resolved issues.
