Currently on assignment to the UK Highways Agency, I help support and develop the Agency's Intranet, Extranet and public facing website utilizing a mix of Portal and web technology (Oracle Webcenter, IIS, .NET, Google Mini)I also continue to provide support and developmet on an ad hoc basis to Schlumberger - SIS Portal. This work focuses around the Endeca Information Access Platform and .NET search application.

For the last five and a half years I have been responsible for the support and development of the search functions for a global knowledge sharing intranet application. Initially this involved supporting the Verity K2 infrastructure already in place. However during the last 24 months I have been closely involved in the selection of a new search vendor. This process involved, in effect, a competition between four of the leading search technology vendors including Google and Endeca. In particular I effectively represented one of the Vendors by designing and building a customised search application built around the Google Search Appliance (GSA). I was then responsible for the integration of the successful vendor, Endeca, into the application. More recently I have been closely involved in a new search project which aims to provide a unified search facility covering many disparate datasources within the customers global operations.

Design and devlopment of complex often web based applications. Also the provision of consultancy and advice both within AtosOrigin and to customers.Was closely involved in the design and development of the UK's first online interactive train timetable system for Railtrack.Designed and developed the first website allowing the public to see details of National Lottery Good Cause Awards for the Department of Culture, Media and Sports.Was later closely involved in the first online system to provide real-time train running data over the web for the Association of Train Operating Companies.

Responsible for design and development of back office systems to support portfolio valuation.
