Contracted through Supplement Health, I worked at Parkland (from August 2012 to present, excluding the period from March 2013-November 2013 wherein I acted as live-in nurse for my seriously ill father) in the Occupational Health clinic. My direct patient care involved pre-employment health screening, employee annual visits to maintain compliance with facility policy regarding infectious disease prevention and safety training, blood & body fluid exposures, return-to-work clearances, and for-cause drug testing. Each encounter included patient (employee) education, generally related to, but not limited to, the reason for the visit to the clinic. Corollary duties included data analysis and database management.
