I am an English Language teacher at a secondary school for the past 18 years. I can effectively teach across all three courses - Express, Normal (Academic) and Normal (Technical), as well as handle form teacher matters for the three different courses. Wearing multiple hats as an educator, I have skills which are transferrable to other areas of work (interpersonal and intercultural communication, writing and editing, teamwork, team management, event management, public speaking, to name a few).I am also involved in a few key committees in my school:1. Ten years of being in the school's Corporate Communications/Partnerships committee doing outreach publicity talks, three years of managing the outreach efforts through leading a small team to mentor and guide publicity speakers, creating and editing slides and presenters' notes, and liaising with primary schools for publicity efforts and working with multiple stakeholders to discuss and decide direction and focus of yearly outreach efforts. 2. Four years of being involved in the Student Leadership Program, and two years of being one of the teachers-in-charge of a Student Leadership group (training and guiding students to acquire leadership skills and improve on their public speaking skills)3. Four years of being the teacher-in-charge of training student emcees for Speech Day (holding auditions, preparing the script, rehearsal training with the student emcees)
