I was employed at Insoft, a software outsourcing company in South India, for 6 months as an English language trainer, to assist senior Indian staff members with spoken and written English. After the initial stage of the programme I was given responsibility for checking the English language content of the company’s documents, including legal, human resources and contract documentation. I was also made an integral part of the IT development team for several projects, in particular writing client specifications.
