I was requested to assist in the development and testing of the ARIES Project by the Manager of Material Damage Services in March of 1999. At that time I was an Estimator II in the Abbotsford claim centre.Key team member responsible for the implementation and training of the automated estimating program to the Material Damage Estimators throughout the province. Acted as a Subject Matter Expert in the development of the procedures and processes prior to implementation.I assisted in the testing of the ARIES program and PenPro integration to ensure that the system was stable and ready for implementation.I developed most of the MD Procedures related to the ARIES project and was successful in having them implemented. I assisted in the development of the training material for the claim centres and was instrumental in the implementation of ARIES as the Implementation & Training Coordinator in a number of claim centres throughout the province. During this time I coordinated the backfill staff within the implementing claim centre to ensure coverage for all shifts and out of town roadwork in the office outside the Lower Mainland.

During my time as an Estimator I spent just over a 1 year on an acting assignment at Telephone Claims as an Estimator, assisting the adjusters in material damage issues and providing technical knowledge in the handling of claims and assessment of liability. Assessed vehicle damage and provided each customer with a cost effective repair estimate, while ensuring customers understood the claim process. Managed workload to effectively schedule inspections throughout the day to achieve the highest results for the company. Regularly attended training to assist in career development within the company. Effectively dealt with repair facilities to manage the repair process while ensuring quality/cost effective repairs.In addition I took part in many committees and working groups, throughout my estimating career, providing my expertise in material damage, to aid in the development and refinement of ICBC policies and procedures.
