In 2018 we had a socio-political crisis in Nicaragua that left over 40 thousand refugees and over 400 thousand unemployed workers. Due to the situation, I decided to start the Nicaragua Education Foundation, which is a student-led and managed non-profit organization whose mission is to change the lives of Nicaragua children by investing in their education. I recruited several schools and groups to participate in the NGO including a national university. We are working with several orphanages around the country and our first project is with Arms of Love International.

As a TCI Fellow, I participate in many skill-building and leadership activities to help me grow. I have also led an initiative to develop a program to deliver periodic talks to at-risk elementary school children to make sure they do not abandon school.

As part of a summer internship, I was able to learn about call center operations and telemarketing. My main role was Telemarketing Agent where I had to cold sell telecommunication services to Spanish speaking clients in the US.
