A vision without strategy is little more than an illusion, especially in the fast-paced technology industry. From buyer behaviour and the psychology of pricing to the latest emerging trends, business transformation must understand the clients’ service need and respond effectively. And that’s why, when I’m tasked with the challenge of growing a business, I ensure my strategic approach is service-centric, future-facing, and people-focused.I’ve developed my strategic expertise over 30 years. Luckily, it came naturally. I’ve always been one for fixing things, and if someone says it can’t be fixed, my top priority becomes proving them wrong. It’s this level of enthusiasm and energy I expect out of my team, too. I don’t believe in hierarchical workplace structures that inhibit others’ growth. Instead, I actively help people find their voice and progress on their journey. It’s about being honest, genuine, and focusing on values alignment. I’ve found this approach increases productivity and raises standards of delivery, which ultimately results in consistently excellent service and improved commercial outcomes.I’m definitely a people person, and it’s this interest in human behaviour that allows me to help businesses shape how their clients 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭. If they feel nurtured by a company, they’ll start to believe they can’t live without it. And that is pure gold.Developing a culture for service excellence is what I do best. I am comfortable identifying market opportunities, leading negotiations and questioning decision-making – notably around governance, risk and the definition of best practice. I get in the head of the customer and understand their perspective. From there, I align company values and drive business transformation and digitisation to deliver what it is the customer wants and needs.➢This process almost always involves change, the only constant in the technology industry. I’m quick to adopt new innovations and business models, but I also know that, for many, change can be daunting. By instilling resilience, flexibility, and open-mindedness, I help employees embrace the new and recognise the strategic importance of change.Transformation and growth are my passions, which is why I’m open to sitting on advisory boards or committees in my spare time. That is, when I’m not building sound systems or playing the keyboard! If you’re a champion for change like me, connect today.📧rlharvey2003@yahoo.com.au
