My name is Roger, an aspiring Master's student studying at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. I graduated from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology majoring in Computer Science. I am a detail-oriented, responsible, and committed full-stack Computer science student, with a get-it-done, high-quality, and work-as-a-team spirit. Apart from the software engineering and computer science aspects, I also love photography and graphic design. I love to create illustrations and artwork when I am in my leisure time, and I also have an illustration account on Instagram to display my works. During my studies at HKUST, I was highly exposed to coding and practical learning experiences about computer science, software engineering, algorithms, etc. I also participated in a lot of extracurricular computer workshops and seminars, which helped me strengthen my skills and understanding of the world of software engineer. Apart from that, when I was a sophomore, I was selected as the IT Secretary of the University Choir, HKUSTSU. I learned some knowledge about webpage design and social media, combining my interests in graphic design to host and maintain the official webpage and the social media of the societies, which turned out to help the society boost their publicity greatly. Furthermore, I also attended the summer internship program hosted by TSMC, in which I not only learned a lot about software engineering such as Robotic Process Automation and Server Management, but also developed my soft skills, such as communicative skills and time management, and most importantly, strengthening my aspiration of being a great software engineer.Lastly, Tina Seelig said, “Never miss an opportunity to be fabulous.” It is my responsibility to take bigger risks, find new things, learn new stuff, and do my utmost to overcome the challenges I confront no matter how hard and unfamiliar it may seem. This is how I showcase my responsibilities, attitude, and what I truly believe in.
