Roger Marks has led an accomplished career spanning decades within the commercial real estate industry, shopping center business, and in the goods and services arena. After sucessfully working for a large national shopping center developer, Marks had the opportunity to join a dynamic privately held hard goods retailer. Joining the organization upon the opening of their 200th store, he guided the company from what was primarily a Midwest and Southern store base into a true national player by spearheading entry to the Pacific Northwest and West Coast. When industry pressures strained the product category, Marks served as an executive management team member by guiding a successful restructuring which resulted in an unparreled turnaround by purchasing two major competitors and increasing the store base to over 500 units.After the successful restructuruing and sale of the large chain, Marks developed a consulting practice for retailers and developers. Marks has been invloved in leasing and consulting assingments for large major regional developments located in Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Texas and Arkansas. As the Great Recession put a strain on traditional goods and services in the marketplace, Marks understood the consumer shift from basic needs over discretionary spending. After being recruited to assist in identifying potential locations for "coin-op" laundromats he set out to improve the retail self service laundry experience by manufacturing and distributing better products within the industry. Simultaneously, Marks began utilizing his real estate, retail and laundromat expertise to broker the sale of existing laundromats and to source appropriate locations for new retail self service operations nationally. As serving as a master broker nationally for a growing chain of laundromats, Marks has used his extensive national commercial network to orchestrate market tours in 33 large and middle markets across the country resulting in excuted laundromat locations in Ohio, Kansas, Iowa, Texas, Arizona and South Carolina.
