Once upon a time, some friends and I pitched an idea at a social entrepreneurship competition: imagine a non-profit that recruits and trains college students to become literacy tutors, mentors, and reading buddies at Austin elementary schools. We won the competition, and during my two years as president, we sent 150 weekly volunteers to 11 elementary campuses, booking 2,000 hours of service. Since then, SEAL has become a 501(c)(3) non-profit and expanded to multiple universities. As a board member, I established our first chapter in the Dallas area and also led a team of 5 marketers to build our website and brand guidelines, manage social media accounts, and run an outreach and development program to launch even more chapters across the country.

I co-led a central growth marketing team to drive owned traffic for 15 Google marketing websites, including Chrome, Chromebook, YouTube, and Grow With Google. I also developed an opportunity sizing methodology and AI-powered dashboard to validate the development of content that could potentially drive millions of incremental clicks per year. I eventually transitioned to focus on product and partner marketing for Google Pay. I worked with the PM and Biz Dev team to source and promote a pipeline of offers from partners like Rakuten, Impact, and Square. I wrote product positioning and messaging for our merchant products, developed co-marketing guidelines, and continued to flex my growth marketing muscles with A/B tests that improved CTR by +10%.

I co-led a central growth marketing team of 200 developers, analysts, and strategists to teach Googlers how to send better marketing emails. I partnered with consumer PMM's to run A/B tests and pilot new email technologies to improve CTR by up to +200% and north star engagement metrics by +6%. I also led the company-wide OKR to achieve 98% accessibility across all Google email campaigns by training thousands of Googlers and scoping an automated validation product.
