Judicial Protection Section (California Statewide)

Served as the South state supervisor leading a team of officers providing physical security for the Chief Justice of California, members of the California Supreme Court, and the Courts of Appeal. Duties included directing security planning and advance operations, incident commander for protective service operations, evaluation of protective interest intelligence, and directing threat assessment and management. Served as acting commander for state-wide operations.

Central Los Angeles Area Command (Los Angeles, California)

Performed the supervisory duties of a Sergeant leading officers assigned to the command including team deployment and supervision, incident command/emergency incident management, personnel evaluations and investigations, and allied agency coordination.

West Valley Area, Capitol Protection Section, Judicial Protection Section (California)

Performed the duties of a California Peace Officer providing safety, service and security to the people of California. Duties and assignments included patrol, incident commander, general law enforcement, criminal investigation, and homeland security. Special duty assignments included Officer-in-Charge, Lead Advance Agent, Dignitary Protection, Helicopter Flight Officer, Bicycle Patrol Unit, Peer Support Officer, and Chaplain. As Chaplain, I responded as a member of the CHP Critical Incident Response Team to employee involved critical incidents and facilitated Critical Incident Stress Debriefings (CISD). Provided pastoral counsel to employees facing personal and professional crises.
