Founder of the OBADA Foundation, a nonprofit multi-stakeholder group in the asset disposition sector that's creating an open blockchain protocol for ITAD (IT Asset Disposition).The OBADA foundation is working with ISO to develop the OBADA Standard, a data model for representing physical assets as NFTs (non-fungible tokens).The foundation has also established a DAO, a decentralized autonomous organization. The DAO is implementing the standard in the form of an NFT registry for physical assets. The registry acts as a repository, holding self-sovereign "Carfaxes" of physical assets.The purpose of this registry is to allow tracking of end-of-life assets, to enable proof of data destruction, proof of functionality, proof of recycling, and other asset disposition services.

Tradeloop is home to the industry that moves unwanted IT assets from end-users (in bulk) to recyclers, or back into reuse. Technically, it's a business to business "wholesale trading network", or B2B exchange, for used electronics. Our mission is improve the circular economy by enlisting market forces to improve reuse and recycling rates. We host the industries "ethics board," an open, volunteer run committee with an online process for handling disputes. We have partners and programs in place to work on the problems of fraud, counterfeiting, sustainability, e-waste, data standardization, and data breaches.
