I started the business in 1986 while working with Martin Marietta in Denver, Colorado. I left Martin in 1993 and have been in business since then. The business was established while working on an applied research contract with DARPA and after that contract was finished, I expanded the business to include laser sales. In 2002 I decided to sell part of the business and I relocated to Nampa, Idaho which is close to where I grew up. The business is still selling laser systems and we have expanded to include laser engraving and cutting services and we also sell a number of accessories for lasers including software solutions which can be located on www.laserjumpstart.com.
