DUTIES / ACHIEVEMENTS:  Managed the inventory and supply chain of the warehouse and the market which includes 12 replacement shops and 103 mobile repair/replacement shops.  Managed the logistics of both inbound and outbound, certifying efficiency, cost effectiveness and on-time commitments are made.  Being a high volume In and Out bound operation, I manage with attention to details, efficiency, safety, follow- up, accountability and recognition. Provided outlets to improve associate engagement and establish a solid team culture which resulted in increased employee retention. Managed and stabilized the warehouse operation using the LEAN philosophy, with the merging of both Alexandria VA and Capitol Heights MD warehouses, gaining savings of $500k in warehouse rental annually, along with other residual and collateral savings such as vehicle, utility, logistical operational costs reduction etc. Hands on with payroll, schedules and PTO for all employees. Operated and trained associates on Fork-Lift, both sit-down and stand-up. Systems frequently operated, SAP, COGNOS, MICROSOFT OFFICE and KRONOS.

Managed and organized three profitable Schwans Home Service depots. Staffed all depots with competent teams. All depots reached profitability by end of fiscal year as planned, reducing operational costs by approximately $475k. Responsibilities were to interact and coordinate all facets of operations, including but not limit to vendor relations, fleet management, safety coordinating, talent acquisitions, employee training, driver qualification monitoring, building maintenance while keeping close eyes on the P+L. On site visitations to assess facility and vehicle compliance with government regulations and company policies related to OSHA, DOT, USDA, EPA and others. Visitations also included, evaluation all employee controls around safety critical functions such as safe work practices and defensive driving practices which included classroom and behind the wheel observations and training. Improved vendor partner relationships in establishing hands on personal attention. Focused on establishing the Company’s brand, vision and desired state.
