Graduating with a First Class Honours in Business Management at Swansea University allowed me to get a very broad understanding of business and kick started my career path that started with a Finance Graduate role at XPO Logistics, allowing me to learn a whole host of skills in a corporate, high pressured environment. In my Finance role I held various responsibilities on a day to day basis that allowed me to progress my financial analysis skills but also learn how to manage a workload whilst working on multiple continuous improvement projects within the Finance workstream. After 2 years in my Finance role I decided to seek a new challenge within the Projects team at XPO as a Project Manager, the team are responsible for both operational implementation projects as well as internal business/change management projects.I am coming up to 2 years in this role, passing both the Prince 2 Foundation & Practitioner exams in my first 2 months allowing me to put this methodology into practice as I continue to learn and take on more projects at XPO.
