I have over 40 years experience in representing clients in various aspects of small business and banking law, as well as intellectual property law.I provide consultations or specific engagements with other law firms and practitioners with client matters in these areas. When a referral or specific engagement is completed, I believe that it is preferable to direct that client to follow up with the referring firm or lawyer as to any ancillary or collateral non-patent matters. I have assisted clients in the preparation of commercial loan applications to prospective lenders.Occasionally, I also consult with attorneys as to technical concepts or terminology within my areas of training that might assist them in their representation, if they don't happen to have a technical background.

I was formerly an of counsel attorney in Tucker Arensberg's Banking and Finance group as well as its Intellectual Property Group. I have represented or worked for smaller banks ($750 million or less) for nearly 40 years. My representation included serving on a bank board and three of its board committees, advising banks on regulatory matters, assisting in deposit and loan operations, and coordination of bank examinations with state and federal regulators. I have routinely provided advice in the areas of:-Bank Secrecy Act and Money Laundering Laws-Privacy and Information Security-Consumer Protection laws and regulations-Policy development and updates-Loan presentations to boards and committees-Document recording and filing procedures-Risk ManagementI have given presentations at continuing legal education courses on privacy law, identity theft, BSA/AML compliance, and UDAAP risk management.I have also prosecuted patents in the areas of thermoplastics processing and the electromechanical arts.
