I love to solve problems – it’s that simple.Since I was 8 I wanted to design cars – at 11 I made my own ‘go-cart’ from an old bed spread and a lawnmower engine in the farm workshop. It didn’t last long, falling apart on the inaugural and very scary trip down the farm road - quickly realising that a method of stopping was in fact more important than that cool steering wheel.We all live and learn, but this only inspired me to make it better. Since then my passion is to find solutions and design things that work, look beautiful and are truly functional.Growing up on a farm gave me the tools to become hands on and practically minded – brought up with an attitude of ‘we can do that’ and a thirst to continually learn new things I’ve never shied away from a challenge.With an analytical yet alternative thinking approach coupled with a keen eye for aesthetically pleasing design - I’ve applied my skills successfully to many diverse projects, started up businesses around these designs and been commissioned to project manage and consult on others.I understand how things work, how business works, how to sell and what looks good – with these skills I’ve become a product designer that can solve problems with solutions that make money and excite people.
