Provides analytical support to achieve successful correspondence operations within the U. S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Environmental Health, Safety and Security. Ensures internal functional teams and external customers are following policies and processes for planning, prioritization and issue resolution of overall correspondence control center activities in the support and achievement of customer goals.Reviews correspondence to assure policy and procedural requirements are followed, contents are adequate and prepared in the style and tone preferred by the Executive Secretariat. Ensures documents meet quality standards for readability, logic, flow, and have been properly coordinated. Recommends approval or disapproval of correspondence. Establishes priorities, conducts research and recommends assignment of actions to the most appropriate organization. Establishes requirements using judgement and pre-existing criteria and forwards the material accordingly. Coordinates with senior staff and other DOE Organizations, in providing responses to congressional and stakeholder inquires.
