Roy Matthews Email and Phone Number

Son of Maria Holland Matthews and Roy T. Matthews, born ( 2/14/1932) and reared in Franklin, Virginia. Attended Franklin public schools and graduated from Washington and Lee University, Duke University (MA) and University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (PHD). Taught in the Department of Humanities and in Department of History at Michigan State University, 1965-1996. Best act in my life---marrying LeeAnn Goodrich and two best events having Randolph Pretlow Matthews and Elizabeth Lee Matthews as our son and daughter. Retired in 1996 and moved to Washington DC in 2001 where I have found a new lease on life and worlds I never dreamed of to explore every day. Taught a lot of great kids, delivered papers at conference, wrote articles and a few books and dabbled in academic politics.
