About Rachel Roth Mcknight

When it comes to education, my approach is to modify and adapt the social, physical, and educational architecture of the environment to meet the needs of neurodiverse students. I strongly believe all students have the right to access and be exposed to grade-level curriculum and meaningful interaction with their same-age peers. Combining knowledge of evidence-based practices (EBPs), current research, and a little creativity I have been able to work with both students and teachers to create inclusive educational opportunities. Specialties include; Autism Spectrum and Related Disorders, Early Intervention, Inclusion-Based Interventions, Education and Training in Evidence-Based Practices (PECs, Social Stories and Social Narratives, Social Skills Training, TEACCH, Prompting, Visual Supports, Behavior Intervention, etc.), Adapting Curriculum, Co-Teaching, Parental Education and Coaching, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Taking and Analyzing Data to Drive Instruction and Intervention, and Modeling and Coaching teachers.
