Ruben is a results-driven, senior advisor with a passion for efficiency and a ‘just do it’ mentality. With these traits he manages to make impact for both his employers, and the clients he works for. As an independent and critical strategical thinker, the basis for his advice lies in data. Furthermore, he is a good listener and someone who can communicate and connect at all levels.At Metrixlab, Ruben made a conscious choice to focus his attention on clients so he could do what he loves most; helping clients to make business impact through actionable, data driven advice. Quickly working on a large local Dutch client, he developed it into one of MetrixLab’s biggest global key accounts. Heading the account through dedicated servicing, establishing worthwhile relationships, and tailor-made solutions. Prior to MetrixLab, Ruben worked at media agency Mindshare (2000-2012) where he developed from high potential into a seasoned research director, team leader and strong advisor. Within the highly dynamic media agency environment, he got the opportunity to learn a lot about advertising and media (strategy), and deployed this knowledge into actionable research insights for many established advertisers like Unilever, KPN, ING, Menzis, Nestlé, and many others. During the last 3 years at Mindshare, Ruben headed the research department (12) where he developed his managerial skills, and was part of the MT.The period in which Ruben worked at Mindshare, was a very successful period for the company. It grew impressively from a small challenger agency into the undisputed lead media agency in the Netherlands. During this period, Mindshare won AMMA’s Media Agency of the Year honors 3 times (’05, ’09, ‘10) and multiple other industry prices. The research department (Business Planning) played an important role in this success.
