• Completion of the internship project to replace the regional district parks layer of the "Local Government Park Natural Areas" (LGPNA) GIS dataset created in 2017. This new dataset titled "Significant Regional District.
• Sourcing parks data from 24 regional districts across BC in various formats including static maps, zoning/OCP layers, web apps/maps, shapefiles, and file geodatabases.
• Processing and filtering data in ArcGIS Pro from each region to standardize format, projection, park attributes and classification.
• Assessing and verifying over 1100 park polygons for possible inclusion, updates and extent of park natural areas.
• Creation of a 20-page metadata document which includes a project background, methodology, spatial information and accuracy, and detailed attribute descriptions. Data editing tasks included:
• Digitization of new parks and alignment of existing polygons with ParcelMap BC boundaries.

• Determined parks data availability, format and accuracy for 28 regional districts and 20 municipalities across BC.
• Established a set of criteria to assess park polygons and streamline future updates.
• Identified numerous data quality and integrity issues and developed best practices to process and filter raw data, including with the use of SQL statements. Research into available local government parks data.
• Developed a form with ArcGIS Survey 123 Connect which DUC biologists are using to streamline data collection in the field. This included creating specific XLS form functions to manipulate data entry and customize data.
• Manipulation of projections, symbology, labels, and layouts while following cartographic principles.
