Leads Common Sense's AI strategy and programs, including our AI Risk Assessments, and major partnerships with leading AI developers.

Directly partnered with the CEO. Drove key organization-wide and external-facing projects and manage the Office of the CEO, including staff. This was a highly visible role that partnered with the CEO and the organization's Executive Leadership team to foster communication across the entire organization, manage relationships with external stakeholders and executives, and lead impactful initiatives, including the inaugural Common Sense Summit on America's Kids and Families and the launch of Common Sense's AI Initiatives.

As Board Chair, leads LCPS's board in ensuring our schools reflect our Lighthouse community's values and priorities while delivering excellent education for all students. Oversees setting of LCPS's strategic direction, establishing effective organizational structures, creating a supportive environment for administrators and staff, ensuring accountability for student achievement and fiscal management, and advocating for public education in Oakland.In collaboration with my fellow board members and our CEO, guides policies that shape curriculum, resource allocation, and educational programs. Maintains oversight of LCPS operations to ensure they align with a long-term vision for student success. Passionate about public education and committed to transparent governance that serves all students in our Lighthouse community.

Over a decade of service at LCPS, led the growth of LCPS from an organization serving 750 students K-12 with an annual budget of $18M to an organization serving 1600 students K-12 with an annual budget of $37M, including founding Oakland’s newest charter school and supporting the successful renewal of each of the LCPS charters in the midst of a volatile political context. Led through the COVID-19 Pandemic and subsequent reopening. Built strong, functional teams capable of enacting ambitious school improvement plans, and supported cross functional collaboration and communication to achieve strategic priorities. Launched multiple new programs in support of increased scale in areas including special education, enrollment, compliance, community schools partnerships, and more.
