A chameleon of sorts, I've been a working individual since the age of 12. At the age of 20, I decided to join the military. I served honorably for 6 years in the USAF as a Security Forces soldier. I've traveled the world, being stationed in places such as Saudi Arabia, Korea, and Iraq. After deploying to Iraq, post 9/11, I decided military life wasn't for me. I've always had an affinity for the entertainment and music industries, respectively, so a few months after separating from the military I decided to go to school for Recording Arts at, Full Sail University, in Florida. After completing 13 months at Full Sail and gaining an Associate's Degree, I decided to move back to California in pursuit of a career in the music industry. I ended up finding a Production Assistant gig in LA working on TV commercials. After working as a PA for 8 months, I moved back to San Diego where I was hired at Guitar Center as a Sales Associate, selling pro-audio equipment and instruments. I enjoyed networking with like minded individuals and learning more about the art of recording music. After a year and some change at Guitar Center, I ventured out as an entrepreneur assisting with the establishment of an independent record label called, Sub Zero Records. The label focused on developing artists in the genres of RnB, Rap, and Reggae. My job at the label/studio was that of the President and Sound Engineer. I held many hats while employed with the small label. I've promoted and hosted live shows, and was a sound engineer at various venues, in San Diego County. After a few years with the record label, I left to pursue a degree in Project Management at ITT Tech. I was halfway through my program when the school closed. After a small sabbatical, I worked for a few companies, then landed a gig at LPL Financial, as a Tech Support Rep, assisting Financial Advisors and their clients with various hardware and software issues. After working on the Help Desk for over 7 years, I found a new love, the Information Technology field. I recently graduated from the California Institute of Arts and Technology w/ an Associate degree in Computer Information Systems w/ an emphasis in Networking. I plan on gaining a few IT certifications once I'm financially able. Having a varied set of skills has made me a jack of all trades and a dedicated student to learning and adapting to new situations. I love to experience life, learn new things, and meet new people. What other reason have we been placed in this world?
