The Starting Point program at Alpine Special Treatment Center is a 12-bed voluntary residential treatment program for transitional aged youth (18-25 years old) with co-occurring psychological and substance abuse issues. A psychosocial model of rehabilitation is utilized by multidisciplinary direct care and support staff members with the goal of successful community reintegration within a six month timeframe in order to reduce the potential for high risk behaviors that lead to institutionalization, incarceration, and/or homelessness. • Significant involvement in Admission and Discharge processes. • Case management with program clientele.
