Undertaking ecological surveys, managing volunteers and supporting the Northwest with various ecology and operational projects.

I assist senior zoologists and ecologists to conduct threatened species surveys. I have most commonly helped conduct transect surveys for Golden Sun Moths in grasslands around Greater Melbourne and Growling Grass Frogs at the Western Treatment Plant.

Various units within the Zoology and Ecology and Conservation Biology majors.I assist first year biology students to acclimatise to university style learning and to thrive in their studies in biology. My role involves briefing students on the relevant theory and procedures at the beginning of their practical classes, demonstrating scientific techniques and supporting student learning throughout. I assess student work and provide written and verbal feedback. I also assist academic staff to run practical classes for third year students, including assessments.

I managed the Southern Brown Bandicoot Protection Program in the Bass Coast area. The main focus of my work was on coordinating landscape-scale predator control in the area. I was also responsible for the project budget, engaging contractors, providing public notices and liaising with various stakeholders.

I undertook a variety of roles in my first few months working with Parks Victoria, which ranged in focus from community engagement to on-ground Park management to strategic planning.
