I sort parts as they come down the line to ensure quality and report flaws. Some parts need to be trimmed, drilled, de-gated, or have things (such as clips) added to them and, when needed, I do that as well.

I served food to customers. Some times the food was already prepared, other times, I would make smoothies, sub sandwiches, custom pasta dishes or omelets. Other responsibilities included working in the dish room: cleaning dishes with the pressure cleaner and sanitizer; cleaning tables and stations; and stocking shelves as well as occasionally running the touch-screen cash register.

I called friends, family and alumni of Northland college to keep them up-to-date on what was happening with the school, answer any questions and try to get them to give a gift that would go towards scholarships and other important school business. At different times of the year I would call and do the same for the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute as well as the Loon Watch Program.

I would help to set up and tear down events. This involved setting up chairs, tables and any electrical equipment that the client needed: projectors, laptops, light board, speakers and/or microphones. I would often stay during the event and make sure that everything that was running smoothly. As Alvord Manager during my last year, I picked out the people to hire and trained them in the equipment and rules. I was also on call 24/7 to make sure that the events were set up and running properly and according to the clients wishes.

Served customers by seating them, setting them up with a game of bowling, taking drink/food orders or anything else they needed. As the bartender I made and//or served soda, water and simple mixed drinks. As cook I made hamburgers, salads and pizzas as well as deep-fried appetizers and chicken. At closing and during down times I would clean windows, floors, bathrooms and dust anything that needed it.
