As a project specialist, I am responsible on the planning, design and implementation of various projects to support our underwater ocean observatory operation, and ensuring that the components used in those systems work reliably in deep-sea/harsh environment for long periods of time. As a team, we have successfully delivered multiple hardware and software projects to support the company's requirement in terms of advanced remote sensing and monitoring solution, secure software systems, and reliable hardware platforms.SenViu (https://senviu.com/), an IoT platform composed of hardware and software components, is one of our pilot projects that the organization widely uses now for sensor data monitoring, visualization, and triggering. The data can be coming from a sensor node that is connected to the internet, to a LoRaWAN gateway, or to satellite relay. Redlen Technologies, a Canon Inc. group of companies, is a global leader in the R&D and manufacturing of semiconductor high-energy radiation detectors based on the proprietary cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) compound. As a senior technical member of the test engineering team, I was responsible for the planning, design and development of test systems used for quality control of detector modules. This involves high-voltage electrical and electro-mechanical projects and certification works. I had the opportunity to mentor the junior members of my team as well.

A senior technical member of the engineering team, I was responsible in architecting and implementing hardware electrical system designs for the new generation AML instrumentation and sensor products. These products are used in harsh environment applications, ranging from coastal monitoring all the way down to deep sea exploration (7,000+ meters below sea level). The design discipline in these types of application requires a mindset for system reliability to ensure that the electronics system will work reliably in these environments.During my tenure as a hardware engineer at AML, I had the opportunity to lead multiple projects and new product introductions (NPI) with my team. I successfully completed 10 ground-up hardware designs and over 20 hardware upgrades that are analog, power and digital in nature (mixed-signal designs). I was also responsible for ensuring that the products pass the CE and FCC certifications, and in maintaining hardware design files and component library database using the best practices in the industry.
