Supervisor, Arts Specialist, Arts & Crafts
•Planned, managed, implemented, and evaluated a large sized military Arts & Crafts program to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs and interest of base communities in accordance with Air Force and MAJCOM guidelines. •Initiated, developed, and coordinated recurring and nonrecurring program segments to include a custom frame shop, graphics shop, wood shop, ceramic shop, auto hobby shop, car wash, and resale store. •Assigned the areas of work, explain program objectives, and provided leadership in carrying out specific year-round programs including, but not limited to, annual Artist/Craftsman and Photography Contests, Spring and Holiday craft shows, specialized children’s Summer and Holiday Arts programs, base-wide Services events, public displays and demonstrations. •Planned, conceptualized, scheduled enhanced publicity & strategic direction on all programs, contests & exhibits, and resale selections, ensuring maximum promotional execution in attracting and motivating participants that meet mission objectives. •Prepared justifications for new equipment and authorize purchase of supplies and equipment. •Solicited volunteers and part-time paid services. •Responsible for reporting of fiscal budgets, capital requirements budget, inventories, asset management. •Identified equipment, supplies, and facility improvements. •Responsible for maintaining environmental standards and ensure that all shops operate within AFOSH standards. •Performed all personnel management duties. Additional duties: •Collaborated with executive-level leadership in the conceptualization, design, and creation of multifaceted communication materials utilizing conceptualized graphics and visual information system products such as pamphlets, posters, brochures, and displays use conventional design methods and “out-of-the-box thinking. “•Served as Unit Environmental Coordinator.
