About Rudy Blanco

My journey into community management and consulting began at DreamYard, where I started an afterschool tech club years ago to address a tech shortage-- this was before Google Workspace. The club's popularity grew, evolving into a media and gaming club. This experience laid the foundation for BX Start, a generational project where many former students now teach or lead their own communities and in some cases are now employed to continue what they started years ago.Currently, I am contracted with Gather as a community manager, cultivating a vibrant and inclusive online environment. My passion lies at the intersection of technology, gaming, and education, where I explore innovative ways to leverage these fields for social good.As the founder of BGN, now functioning as my LLC, I bring extensive experience in strategic planning and community dynamics. My work includes:Building and Programming BX Start with The DreamYard Project: Developed and implemented a $750,000 project featuring a state of the art facility, five classes on gaming industry art forms, attracting over 500 visitors monthly, with over 15 gaming PCs, 10 consoles, and VR equipment.Launching and Sustaining a Vibrant Community: Created a thriving community of gamers and creatives of all ages through various initiatives and events, both online and offline.Key Services:Community Management: Crafting and nurturing inclusive, engaged communities.Nonprofit & Corporate Consultation: Providing strategic guidance to enhance organizational engagement.Tech & Gaming Innovation: Driving positive change through technology and gaming initiatives.Content Creation: Developing educational and engaging content for various platforms.I believe in building programs and experiences that grow and last over time, just like BX Start. Let's connect if you're looking for expert advice on community management, nonprofit and corporate consultation, or innovative collaborations in technology, gaming, and education.
