Rusty McCarty is the Chief Experience Officer and President at CustomED, a nonprofit educational organization that provides customized educational programming for a wide variety of cause-based initiatives. He founded CustomED in January 2011 to serve the growing needs of nonprofits, government agencies, and outreach programs by developing extraordinary and one-of-a-kind educational experiences. Rusty is a highly skilled and experienced international educator, speaker, facilitator, trainer, and leader. Rusty’s past professional experience includes chief operating officer and creative director of the world's largest creativity program; coordinating large-scale domestic and international events; leading international nonprofits; developing programming, curriculum, and educational products; implementing training for adults and students; organizing, supervising and supporting staff and volunteers; directing curriculum and instruction at international private schools and domestic public schools; facilitating for educational and marketing program development; cultivating and managing partnerships between business, government, and nonprofits; and teaching science. Rusty graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Biology. His passion for learning led him to complete a Masters Certificate in Education from Texas A&M University, an M.A. in International Education from Oxford Brookes University, and an M.B.A. from LeBow College of Business at Drexel University.In February 2012, Rusty along with his business partner Peggy Middendorf, started a new venture called ExtraordinaryED. ExtraordinaryED delivers fun educational experiences and products that provide learners with unique opportunities to LEARN, CONNECT, and GROW in a convenient location. The first ExtraordinaryED store opened in Collingswood, NJ in May 2012.
