Managed and lead the team responsible for the design and development of the Environmental Control / Life Support System (ECLSS), and Thermal Control System (TCS) for the Dragon spacecraft. Responsibilities as technical leader included interfacing with engineers and managers of other subsystems to ensure appropriate interfaces are established, providing mentorship and advice to team members, and reach technical decisions quickly based on available information. Additional responsibilities included defining system architecture of ECLSS and TCS systems for all variants of the Dragon spacecraft family, as well as overseeing the design/development of those systems and their components, from concept through qualification. Programmatic responsibilities included providing timely issue resolution and critical path management, presenting ideas and updates to executive leadership and customers, creating and maintaining project schedules, establishing project deliverables and timelines while allocating resources, and recruiting accordingly to ensure successful execution of projects. Additional responsibilities as manager included providing input into hiring, conducting performance appraisals, providing timely and constructive feedback to team members, responding promptly to employees' needs and concerns collaborating and facilitating communication across engineering and production groups to meet very aggressive cost, schedule, and quality goals.
