The role involved providing secure facilities for workforce and vehicles, and included managing the provision of temporary accommodation, utilities, civil works, security fencing, statutory requirements, and liaison with landowners.During operations, the role switched to facilities management, dealing with issues quickly as and when they arose. One incident in particular I diagnosed and resolved was a significant sewage ingress from an unknown source into an underground vehicle fleet depot. At peak, this was rated as one of the most significant risks to the Olympic Games.

My final aspect of the project was the management of installation crews and supervisors to successfully meet strict and very tight deadlines to install all on-street equipment for 335 Phase 1 sites in a three week period. Meeting this highly publicised launch date contributed to the overall success of the project, and allowed progression into Phase 2 and Phase 3.
