FaST (Fluids and Structures) LaboratoryAssisting with construction of a vertical wind tunnel, as well as research of the interaction of falling water droplets with animal and artificial (resin printed and threaded) fur. Looking specifically at the penetration depth, spread, and evolution of water droplets when they react with the fur of different animal species. Other research, with use of the wind tunnel, includes microphysics of levitating drops and how they interact with other hydrometeors, particles, or air currents given different temperatures, humidities, air speeds, and various concentrations of trace gases or aerosol particles.
