Responsible for collecting and accurately identifying freshwater mussel species native to the Flint River Basin of SW Georgia. I supervised a stream survey crew obtaining scientific data on water chemistry, stream sediments, substrate, organic matter, channel width, channel depths, riparian vegetation, and riparian widths. Collected data on gopher tortoise populations by trapping, identifying, weighing, aging and marking tortoises, and then returning them to their burrows.
