Work focused primarily on CI and desktop releases.Some accomplishments include:- Formalized Dropbox strategy for Desktop CI, and handled planning and execution on a project to measure and dramatically improve desktop experience. Saved an annualized 5500+ hours of productivity as well as significant CI costs.- Designed, scoped out, and led a team of 2 others to build Dropbox's release tooling. This release tooling at time of departure handled the bulk of Dropbox's desktop products.- Built out core technologies in collaboration with other teams that are critical components of Dropbox's desktop end-to-end test runner.- Provided formal mentoring for several Dropboxers, and gave periodic onboarding talks for new hires.

Created an independent versioning system for the mac autoupdater. By the end of summer, released my project to the entire Dropbox mac user population.

o A service I built with the goal of improving the utility of Williams' daily email newsletter with personalized filters and highlights.o One week after the launch of a public beta, captured 1% of my target population of 2000 individuals, most of whom signed up via an online poll I had advertised online.o Personally initiated and oversaw the private beta, and iterated based on feedback and accumulated data in order to prepare for the public beta. Also built tools to better analyze usage and user patterns.o Algorithms included: - o Determining whether a text falls under one of a list of subjects/topics based on content and context- o A parser to extract date and times of events from natural language text- o Quickly returning a filtered set of texts for an arbitrary set of filters- o Using contextual metadata for each announcement in order to provide more filter options and increase accuracy with near-zero loss to speed.
