Reporting to President/CEO; Direct business leadership and organizational responsibility for sales, business development, operations, estimating and fleet management including 100 employees, fleet equipment and asphalt plant operations for Rabine Paving (locally operated self-performing construction company and Rabine Paving America (nationally operating general contractor). Maintained complete operational/P&L leadership of paving companies. Account management and sales leadership of high-value local and national clients.- Grew business by 33% over three (3) years (Rabine Paving and Rabine Paving America) from $60 million to $80 million to highest levels of bottom-line profitability in history of companies.- Designed and delivered the company’s first-ever budget and financial tracking system for operational management, measurement and reporting on a monthly basis for revenue and earnings- Researched, developed and trained teams on an upgraded quality and safety program fostering opportunities to work for strict companies such as Caterpillar, Commonwealth Edison/ Exelon Nuclear, Great Lakes Naval Base and Lowe’s which reduced EMR from 0.9 to 0.74 over a five year period- Innovation through global engineering, research, and implementation of new products/services. Progressing in responsibility with past roles in estimating,sales, project management, superintendent, operations manager and ultimately VP - Engineering/Estimating. - Reporting to President/CEO; developed and implemented an educational and consultative sales tool (Rabine Pavement Management) to differentiate services with major accounts- Achieved growth with key accounts from $4 MM in 1998 to $30 MM in 2007 while directly selling and managing major accounts on $12 MM portfolio value- Developed estimating strategies, researched market trends, implemented software solutions, created bidding templates and reviewed/approved hard and negotiated bids/proposals on projects ranging from $50,000-$5,000,000 on Civil trades – asphalt, concrete, earthwork and site utilities.- Directly lead and directed over 80 employees through nine (9) direct reports as Vice President – Engineering and Estimating- Named Quality Control Manager for Rabine Paving overseeing two (2) asphalt plant production facilities for mainline paving of roads/highways as well as commercial construction platform
