Investigated downtimes due to grease systems failures on haul trucks. These were attributed to refilling capabilities so therefore implemented a means to refill them while refuelling to reduce downtime by 20hrs per month.Implemented an extended service interval maintenance tactic from 500hrs to 750hrs saving $450,000 in parts and 2000hrs in scheduled down time across 28 trucks.Facilitated investigations of critical components using Apollo or PPS Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques to understand and eliminate the cause of the failure. Carried out hydrocarbon analysis and management to monitor health of the equipment.Inspected itinerate classified plant on site before use.Liaised with different departments, including Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM) Planning/Scheduling, Condition Monitoring, Fixed Plant, Operations Planning and Business Improvement to ensure a smooth transition when a new project was implemented. Used historical conveyor pulley data to determine that a change to the maintenance tactics would save $50,000 per annum and 40hrs per annum in downtime by changing out a whole component to only changing out the faulty part.Collected and analysed vibration readings from conveyor drives and pulleys, motors, gearbox’s, pumps to monitor the health of the plant and to determine when to change out the component to ensure maximum life and minimum downtime.Gathered belt thickness measurements to establish a wear rate and subsequent change out date. Prevented the premature failure of several belts saving $200,000 and 48hrs downtime by recognising a substantial acceleration in wear.

Purchased lubrication refilling facilities to be utilised in the heavy vehicle refuelling bay thereby eliminating 200hrs downtime per annum for low fluid levels.Developed value added data handling solutions.
