After having worked in corporate strategic sustainability for many years at Toyota, I'm now helping companies with first-hand knowledge of the challenges of making real sustainable shifts in organizations. I provideconsulting on a range of strategic sustainability topics including assessments, strategic planning, target setting, training, materiality, greenhouse gases, reporting, and zero carbon, water, and waste. Developed and delivered guest lectures to graduate and undergrad students in environmental and business (MBA) programs at UC Santa Barbara Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, CSU Northridge Management School, UCLA Management School, UC Irvine, Pepperdine Business School, and Golden West College. Topics include Sustainability Overview, Packaging Supply Chain Analysis, Hoshin Kanri (Deployment) of Environmental Policies, Setting Environmental Goals and Targets, Cost Benefit of Fuel Reduction Options, Reporting and Materiality, and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001).

Managed and developed team of four sustainability, environmental, and safety professionals to establish standardized programs in a management system to support 23 operational facilities across the U.S. Served as the chair of the North American Waste Focus Group for our North American environmental sustainability strategy. Also included establishment of the a management system for our headquarters campus and sales offices, and the further development of sustainability programs (greenhouse gas inventory, environmental report, and environmental action plan). Selected as part of Toyota High Potential program.

Formalized recycling programs, research on composting methods, supervised waste collection staff and moving staff, worked with students, staff and faculty to further sustainability programs.
