Mr. Ryan M Mullen has been the Director of Produce since joining The Chefs Warehouse in April of 2013 and serves as its Midwest Regional Supply Chain Manager. Mr. Mullen is responsible for planning, executing and monitoring the supply chain activities to and from the Chefs Warehouse Midwest location in Cincinnati while creating net value and building a competitive infrastructure. He also serves as the Midwest liaison for marketing, and works with national and local suppliers to help encourage sales and profit for the company. As the produce category manager, he is responsible for the strategy, pricing and the distribution channels of incoming fresh produce. His food service career began in 2002 when he joined Queensgate Foodservice, a growing independent broad-liner in Cincinnati. At Queensgate, Mr. Mullen directed day to day operations of the food processing division and managed all aspects of the produce division. Mr. Mullen worked with sales and marketing with the ultimate solution of overall growth. Queensgate was acquired by Chefs Warehouse at the end of 2012. With a concentration on local produce, and working with local farming associations, Chefs Warehouse is tasked with purchasing products worldwide to meet the high demands of its customer base. Consolidating trucks nationwide on a daily basis, the objective is to maintain the freshest produce available at competitive prices while maintaining margin and growing the overall line. Chefs Warehouse prides itself on being a full line produce house that can cater to any customer’s request.
