Obd Calibration Engineer
CurrentJob duties include:- Using ATI Vision to force the engine to a state suitable for testing in a controlledenvironment- Using Canalyzer to intercept and overwrite CAN messages from sensors and actuators tothe engine- Big data analytics using MATLAB and statistical methods.- Diagnostic calibration through simulation.- Participation in off-site testing activities in different regions of the United States.- Collaboration with our European colleagues virtually and in person when necessary.- Cross functional collaboration with other teams within the engine program and truckdivisions.- Participation in future clean energy initiatives from an OBD perspective.- Planning and coordination of testing activities through all phases of development fromprototype to production.Personal skills I've developed: - Mastery of MATLAB and Simulink for advanced data analysis and model-based design.- Digital communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, SPI, and I2C.- Familiar with various sensor technologies for data collection and monitoring.- Proficient in statistical methods for big data analytics and interpretation.- Integration of knowledge across multiple technical domains beyond core expertise.- Excellent communication skills, effectively engaging with experts at various technical levels.- Automotive experience, contributing to a deeper understanding of industry standards and practices.- Proficient with tools like ATI Vision and Vector Canalyzer for vehicle diagnostics and analysis.- Informed on current diesel technologies and their applications in automotive systems.- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.- Strong self-teaching skills, actively seeking out learning opportunities to enhance knowledge.- Effective workload management with the capability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.- Flexible in adapting to shifting timeframes and project requirements.
