Experienced R&D scientist, working in both academic and industrial environments broadening and building on high quality experience already gained in polymer chemistry, analytical, synthetic and pharmaceutical chemistry, however I am looking to further advance my experiences and gain new experiences and training.Having completed a PhD in Polymer Chemistry, my PhD saw me become skilled in the areas of synthesis (polymer and dopants), analytical chemistry and corrosion science (becoming an expert in the field of active coatings of metals), I have moved into the area of industrial coatings working on inert materials that add beneficial barriers to metallic substrates. This has been complimented by transferable skills and knowledge gained from the pharmaceutical industry.At present I am currently specialising in water based developments of inactive polymeric material for use in industrial coatings of metal. Utilising past knowledge and gaining new skills in formulatory work; Synthesis and analytical work are paramount to meet the high demands and customer specifications, adapting where needed or even developing and validating new methodology.Further to the technical aspects I also show a good record for delivering on target and working to high demands, working with a professional manner which is complimented with good communication skills, great team working but I am adept at working on my own in an unsupervised capacity.
