-Graduate student in Penn State's The SHAPE Lab-Systems for Hybrid-Additive Process Engineering Lab-Published conference paper in MSEC 2021 Conference on novel runner extension design CFD results.-Utilized SolidWorks and Flow-3D Cast software to design and evaluate the effectiveness of various runner extensions.-Performed physical validation of CFD simulations by performing CT scans, three point bending, and SEM on casted AL 319 plates.-Intensions to optimize the top performing runner extensions for casting defect reduction.

-Actinic is a start-up 3D printing company, whose goals are to develop the technology and materials needed to print thermoset plastics, more specifically PDMS.-Worked on a Phase I STTR to meet specific milestones to aid in development of PDMS 3D-printing.-Leveraged higher energy lasers for in process curing of PDMS, as well as a Nordson extrusion pump for resin deposition. -Designed and evaluated experiments, using Minitab, to help characterize process parameters and printing quality.-Successful in printing multiple geometric shapes, like boxes and cylinders, as well as a 2D lattice.-Able to print overhangs as low as 50 degrees.-Analyzed tensile testing data to compare printed mechanical strength to casted mechanical strength.
