About Ryan Brady

I’m Ryan Brady, a fourth-year student pursuing a B.S. at Stony Brook University with majors in Physics and Astronomy. I am currently a member of two research groups. 1) Strong Gravitational Lensing: I analyze Hubble Space Telescope images of doubly imaged quasars and apply time-delay cosmography methods to make newer estimates on the Hubble constant.2) Nuclear/Computational Astrophysics: I develop computational techniques towards accurately modeling double detonation Type Ia supernovae. More details about my research can be found below, or by following the link in my profile to my website. I am also President of the High C’s Acapella Choir and the Engagement Chair for the Stony Brook chapter of the B+ Foundation, where we fundraise for childhood cancer research. My strong foundations in experimental and computational research, along with my effective communication methods and arts background, lend me a unique perspective to approaching science.
