Leading the team of Media Reps and photographers tasked with capturing the best moments of a guests sailing holiday and content representing the brand and the experience as a whole. The role as Senior Media Rep contained an array of varying responsibilities from, but not limited to: Scheduling, content management, social media management, photography, videography, training and policy creation, drone piloting, and more. Each week, Media Reps would be required to submit 150+quality high-resolution images, watermarked, by the end of the week for upload to Facebook albums for guests to keep. Along with this, their role included assisting with various crew duties on the yachts, helping skippers prepare meals and entertain guests, and assist the Guest Manager with provisions and tours. Although as Senior Media Rep I was leading the media team remotely, I was still on various sailing routes capturing executing the same role duties required by media reps, meeting the 150+ photo quota weekly on the routes in Croatia, Greece, Caribbean, and Turkey and my crew duties. For incoming media reps to various countries, I communicated arrival instructions, provide role briefings (often remotely), schedule meetings with their crew and lead team, and make sure they were settling into the role comfortably. On-going role as Senior Media Rep was to make sure media reps were submitting content on time, checking the quality of photography, uploading content to headquarters, and to give positive and constructive feedback on submissions. Along with this, it was my duty to check in with their overall well-being and morale, as the Media Rep role could be alienating on occasion from the other more sailing specific roles. For social media, I was running the daily uploads for the company Instagram while scheduling the Instagram stories to different media reps in different countries weekly along with my own weeks running the Instagram stories.

MedSailors is a sailing adventure tour company that hosts week-long excursions around the Mediterranean including the countries of Greece, Croatia, Italy, and Turkey. As a photographer and crew member aboard the sail boats, I interact and entertain guests during the week, build rapport, and take candid professional photos of the week long adventure. With upwards of 100 guests per week on any route, I am tasked with hopping from boat to boat daily to spend the day with guests exploring and showing them around, while being conscious of the surroundings and photo opportunities. Along with this, other tasks include helping Guest Managers with daily duties and skippers in different sailing related jobs. Also throughout the 5 month period of the sailing season, I run social media takeovers to manage and promote MedSailors social media pages from Instagram posting, to live videos, and picking guest photos to feature. - Photography of guests on their trip.- Meeting strict deadlines for turnover of 150+ edited photos per week.- Crew and sailing duties.- Guest Management assistance.- Social Media.
