His entrance into the professional world first began with two tours overseas as a Sailor in the United States Navy. Upon returning from active duty, Carter owned and operated a small chain of wireless retail stores which provided the foundation needed to understand customer needs, business operations, and growth opportunities.Discovering that his true passion lied working with technology, Ryan began working in Information Technology Management within ATT Retailer Midwest Cellular. During this time Ryan returned to the University of Illinois – Springfield to complete a degree in Computer Science. This allowed him to pursue multiple options within his field of study, more specifically those related to Technology Management.Since 2016, Ryan Carter has been a member of the Unique Computing Solutions team. Witnessing firsthand the potential of building successful client and vendor relationships while maintaining productive and secure infrastructure became paramount for him.Ryan has also become the leading advocate for the push to enhance Cyber Resilience across the entire organization. His ambition and drive to increase his abilities are ever present, he is just as passionate about his own work as he is about mentoring new members of the UCS team.
