Ryan is a Partner at Platform01, a strategic consultancy working with startups and NGOs solving some of Africa's biggest challenges.He graduated as the Class Marshal of the Technology, Innovation, and Education Ed.M. cohort at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. His area of study at Harvard was in the developing of emerging edtech solutions for classrooms with the aim that all students can have access to high-quality and transformative learning opportunities. He has a deep passion for integrating and scaling emerging tech solutions in areas of greatest need. Entrepreneurship and innovation are driving forces of Ryan’s work. He co-founded two edtech startups involving virtual reality. His first was TradeRoutes, an adventure-driven teaching tool that helped K12 teachers present history-centered field trips using low-cost VR in the classroom. He then worked on Luccia, a social VR platform that brought campus tours to life for international students unable to travel to elite institutions. Ryan is passionate about connecting people together in the space of AR/VR and helped co-found the Harvard University AR/VR Student Alliance, an organization spanning all 13 schools at Harvard focused on spurring activity on campus around building emerging technologies for cross-industry applications.
