In my previous position, I was in charge of creating monthly cover stories that included key stakeholders, academic research and investigative journalism on a variety of topics ranging from history to the environment to business. I oversaw a large editorial team of 10+ writers and editors spread across the United States, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing. I created appealing commercial content for over 20 different clients in the hospitality, food and beverage, health and business industries. I translated interviews, documents, press releases and Chinese social media comments from Mandarin to English. I copyedited quarterly issues of Urbanatomy Media's sister publication. Prior to my role as Editor-in-Chief, I held the Digital Editor and Business & Tech Editor positions.Selected Accomplishments:- Delivered efficient guidance to formulate robust editorial content and strategies for That's magazines and website, for 250,000+ readerships.- Cultivated efficient relationships in the Greater Bay Area community, both offline and online, and stay current on trends in a variety of industries.- Created and managed a social media presence with over 70K followers by combining editorial and strategic commercial content.- Managed several social media accounts for That's by growing Instagram and Facebook following over 100% in two years.- Led the publication of two editions of flagship product Explore China travel book sales.- Successfully hosted Food & Drink Awards ceremony for 200+ industry leaders and community influencers from 2018 to 2019.- Delivered efficient training and developed four interns to grow into regular content contributors.
