I supervise up to seven employees in our Guest Services department. We provide customer service to all entering the hospital and answer all internal/external calls. We work with all departments to create a seamless service to those coming in as patients, visitors, vendors and other services to provide an excellent experience. Our day to day duties are to check in/out patients and visitors from the hospital; give appropriate paperwork to incoming patients; screen visitors and provide our policies for entering the facility; answer a high volume of calls, both internal and external; pass on messages to doctors and other departments; and answering any questions in regards to the facility. As a supervisor, I make sure we run smoothly by making sure we follow protocols and update staff of any changes. I create the work schedule and hire/train new employees as needed. I monitor and make sure all employees maintain any education/certifications needed. I problem solve any issues that occur. I order supplies for the department and approve timecards. I also conduct employee annual reviews.
